Thirty of Minnesota’s
top celebrities, philanthropists and business and community leaders
come together every two years to organize Butterball. Each host
invites a select group of their most illustrious and generous friends
to the event.
Our Guest
Most of our 1,300 guests are affluent, socially active and community-minded
professionals between the ages of 30 and 55. They are a valuable
demographic and tend to spend money with the companies and organizations
that support the Butterball event. We rely on our host committee
to hand select attendees for an invite-only event; however, we
do make a limited number of tickets available for purchase.
History
The last Butterball was held in 2007 at the Graves 601 Hotel
in downtown Minneapolis. 1,600 people attended the event and
enjoyed specialty auctions, live artwork, appetizers and complimentary
martinis. The highlight of the event was a special performance
from local band, Soul Asylum, sponsored by Sun Country Airlines.
Celebrity Guests included Chef Andrew Zimmern, Supermodel Cheryl
Tiegs, and athletes from the Vikings, Timberwolves and Twins.
The event raised over $80,000 and benefited Open Arms of Minnesota.
This contribution and awareness helped Open Arms serve a record
breaking 260,000 meals that year.
